LEED AP: Qualify an exam to pursue career in it

What is this LEED AP Specialty Exams? Well, as a LEED GA, you will now have to gain expertise in at least one of the areas in order to equip yourself with a LEED GA Certification. Given below are the LEED AP Specialty areas.

LEED AP Building Design and Construction;

LEED AP Interior Design and Construction;

LEED AP Homes;

LEED AP Neighborhood Development and

LEED AP Operations and Maintenance.

A qualified LEED Green Associate can become a LEED AP and pursue his or her career in green construction. The green associate exam will consist of topics from the LEED application process, project site factors, water management, project design and implementation, energy systems, installation of project materials, project surroundings and implementing various LEED strategies.

It is more to do with the project planning and implementation and various factors that are to be considered for the success of the project. This is the first step to qualify as green associates and the next would be to become accredited professionals in different specialty programs.

The important eligibility or credential for a candidate to qualify for a LEED AP exam is the involvement in an LEED registered project either individually or with the employer. The entire exam is to be completed in 2 hours with 200 questions with a minimum score of 170. The exam tests the knowledge of the candidates on the US Green Building Council’s LEED strategies, building concepts and rating systems.
